Correction

In our last edition of UP FRONT we had an incorrect telephone number listed for the GI Civil Liberties Defense Committee. The correct number is (213) 935-1933.

UP FRONT is functioning as an effort by GIs, for GIs, in order to further expond [sic] the peace movement, and expand involvement in the movement and a concensus [sic] of ideas conducive to liberty and freedom among those of us who are being subjugated to a policy which we have decided is wrong.

As a result of this purpose and in full realization of the necessity for the individual GI to freely voice his beliefs, opinions, and emotions regarding the military machine and its actions here at home and abroad, we are inviting you to show us your support for our efforts in Publishing your paper. We ask that this be done in any or all of the ways shown below and ask for your suggestions as well. We would like to emphasize to those of you who wish to write letters and articles to do so now, without regards for quality or literary value, for the type of support which we need is that of quantity and sincerity and not quality.
