GIs March In LA
In opposition to American aggression & imperialism in the war nobody wants, 6,000 civilians joined fifty active duty servicemen in a mile-long March for Peace on Easter Sunday.
Led by Airman 1/C Floyd Hoff ... and Bishop James Pike, the procession moved down Wilshire Blvd. to McArthur Park for an antiwar rally. Several servicemen spoke to the cheering audience ... and their words were summed up by one Navy corpsman when he said "I'm going to Vietnam tomorrow. If I ever shed any blood, I know it will be in vain."
